Dr Goh Moh Heng is the President of Business Continuity Management Institute (www.bcminstitute.org). He is also the ex-Executive Director of Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) Asia, the Asian representation for DRI International. He was a member of the Certification Commission of DRI International, US, and was responsible for bringing DRI International's business continuity professional certification to Asia. Moh Heng founded the Business Continuity Group, a Technology Industry Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society, based in Singapore, and was its President from 1996 to 1999. Moh Heng also headed the development team responsible for developing the Singapore Standard (SS507:2004) for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) service providers and the Technical Reference (TR19:2005) for Business Continuity Management in Singapore. Currently, Dr Goh is the Senior Technical Advisor to the China Business Continuity Forum, the quasi-government agency representing BCM initiatives in China.

Dr Goh is also the Managing Director of GMH Continuity Architects. Armed with his primary areas of expertise, which include business continuity management, disaster recovery planning, contingency planning and crisis management, Moh Heng has helped many organizations, particularly those operating in the Asia Pacific Region.

Prior to establishing BCMI and GMH Continuity Architects, Moh Heng held senior positions with a number of large organizations. During his career with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, he was responsible for all aspects of its business continuity and contingency planning. At Standard Chartered Bank, he saw to the global implementation of its business continuity management and planning. He also managed the business continuity practice at PriceWaterhouse(Coopers).

Moh Heng holds a doctorate from the University of South Australia. He also holds a Master of Business in Information Technology and a B.Sc. in Computer Science. Moh Heng attended the International Management Program at INSEAD Euro-Asia Center, Fontainebleau, France. Professionally, he is a Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) from BCMI, a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI), UK, and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), US.

Presently, Dr Goh is an Adjunct Associate Professor with Central Queensland University and a Visiting Fellow to the Graduate College of Management, Southern Cross University, Australia. He is a Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) from BCMI, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), a Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute (FBCI), UK, and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), US. He regularly gives presentations on business continuity management and crisis management at technical and business forums globally. He has also published the Business Continuity Management book series. His articles have also been published publicly.

Presentation 2: Thumbnail Analysis
Speaker: Mr Ding ZiHang, Consultant, Grant Thorton Technology Risk Advisory

Abstract
Thumbs.db is a hidden file used by Windows to store thumbnail replicates of image files in a folder. The objective of caching these replicates in the thumb.db file is to speed up the displaying of thumbnails when a folder is in a Thumbnail view. While unintentional, the various behaviours display by thumb.db could be valuable to a computer forensic assessment.

In this presentation, we'll discuss on the thumbnail recovery tools, the associated protocols and their values to a computer forensic investigation. This is an informal sharing of the presenter's experience and he welcomes the exchange of ideas, technical or non-technical, from the floor.

Ding ZiHang is a budding consultant with the Technology Risk Advisory division of Grant Thronton. He has an interest in computer forensic methodology and is currently pursing the Certified Encase Examiner certification to enhance his analysis skills.
