Title: Metasploit - The Real And Updated Stuffs
Abstract The Metasploit Framework is an advanced open-source platform for developing, testing, and using exploit code. This project initially started off as a portable network game and has evolved into a powerful tool for penetration testing, exploit development, and vulnerability research. Meet H.D. Moore, the creator himself, as he gives you an insight into the real and updated Metasploit. Biodata of speaker H.D. Moore Digital Defense Inc. H D Moore is one of the founding members of Digital Defense, a security firm that was created in 1999 to provide network risk assessment services. His responsibilities include product development, vulnerability research, code auditing, and security administration. In his free time, HD is a core developer of the Metasploit Project, where he writes exploits and serves as project manager. Presentation 2 Title: A National Early Warning Capability Based on a Network of Distributed Honeypots Abstract This presentation is about the work developed by CERT.br (formerly known as NBSO/Brazilian CERT), in the ``Brazilian Honeypots Alliance Distributed Honeypots Project'', to centralize the data gathered in several honeypots and to process this data to be used for early warning and incident response. We shortly describe how the honeypots are deployed and how the data is centralized, then focus on how the data is being used by CERT.br to generate statistics and to notify networks potentially compromised or infected. Biodata of speaker Cristine Hoepers Manager and Senior Security Analyst Brazil CERT Cristine Hoepers is a Senior Security Analyst and Manager of CERT.br, and has been involved since 2001 with the development of the Honeynet.BR Project, which has been a member of the Honeynet Research Alliance since June 2002. Since September 2003 she has also been involved with the deployment of a network of distributed honeypots in Brazil -- The Brazilian Honeypots Alliance. Cristine has been a speaker at Brazilian Security Symposiums and also at International Forums. Cristine is a CERT-Certified Computer Security Incident Handler and an authorized instructor of Carnegie Mellon CERT/CC courses. The focus of her work is helping Brazilian Institutions to establish their CSIRTs. She is also conducting her doctorate studies in Computer Security at the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research.
