SIG^2 held its first Red-Blue Cybergame from 18 to 25 Feb 2002. This is quite a milestone event, because nobody else has ever held one in Singapore. A Blue team set up and manned some networks and services. The rest of the participants, of which there were over 30, and organized into Red Teams, would try to test the security of the systems set up by the Blue team. Red team participants connected to the game network securely via SSH and VPN after having been issued login credentials. The results of the game are being analyzed by the Blue team, and a review session would be held shortly to share the experiences and the technical knowledge gained. Prizes would be awarded to the winners.
