The EOGM was concluded successfully with the help of you! Because of you, we were able to reach a quorum as the minimum number
of voters were easily met! The following are the resolutions passed during the meeting:
1) General Meeting Month
    - Constitution item 7.2
    - Change from February to July
2) Accounting Period
    - Constitution item 10.3
    - Change from 1 December to 30 November to 1 July to 30 June
3) Membership
    - To rename section, MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION AND RIGHTS to MEMBERSHIP
4) Add sub-section, MEMBERSHIP TYPE under section, MEMBERSHIP
    - Define the following 4 types of membership:
      - Ordinary
      - Student
      - Corporate
      - Honorary
        - Add further disciplinary control clause to prevent the abuse of such
membership type
    - Only Ordinary and Student members shall have voting rights
5) Changes to items under section, ENTRANCE FEES, SUBSCRIPTIONS AND OTHER DUES
    - remove constitution item 6.3
      - irrelevant reference to retiree membership type
    - rephrase constitution 6.4 which addresses annual subscriptions
      - The new constitution will reflect that annual subscriptions are payable within the month
following the
General Meeting
      - Membership will ceased if non-payment persist for more than three months from General Meeting
date
      - To rejoin, such members will have to re-signup as a new member
    - add 6.2 b), which will address members who joined near the General Meeting date
      - Amount of annual subscription for membership submitted after 30 January shall be
one-half of
the annual rate
Upon approval from the Registrar of Society, the constitution will be amended accordingly. Any further
changes and additional request or dispute can be put up to the secretary

Soh Kok Hong is the CTO of Mobiwave, a young and up-and-coming

Wong Ford Long:
Wong Ford Long, CISSP, is involved in R&D and project management since 1996, at the Defence Science & Technology Agency and in
DSO National Labs, where he is working in the area of network and wireless security. He is a techie and has hands-on project
experience on wireless technologies like GSM/GPRS, Bluetooth, and 802.11b, as well as intrusion detection systems and other
tools of the security trade. He co-founded the Special Interest Group in Security and Information Integrity (SIG^2) in 2001
with a group of like-minded friends and served as its first president. Ford Long has a MEng in EEE (Hons I) from Imperial
College, UK while on a PSC Overseas Merit Scholarship and a MSc in Statistics from NUS.
