Founding and Pro-tem Committee 2001/2002
In the run-up to the creation of an elected committee proper in 2002, the following are members of the pro-tem and founding committee of SIG^2.

Wong Ford Long
President

Ford Long has been involved in R&D planning and project management in diverse technical areas, and hands-on R&D, in the Defence Science & Technology Agency and in DSO National Labs since 1996. He is currently an engineer in DSO, where he is working mainly in the area of network and wireless security, and new communications protocols. Ford Long obtained a MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (1st Class Honours) from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine while on a PSC Overseas Merit Scholarship, and a MSc in Statistics from the National University of Singapore.
       
 

Chuang Shyue Hong
Vice-President

  Shyue Hong is a Network Consultant with Cisco Systems in Singapore. His responsibilities include pre-sales and technical account management for major Internet Data Centers and Internet access service providers. Shyue Hong has been focused on network security for the past 6 years. Prior to Cisco, he was involved in network engineering, software development and consulting at the Singapore Ministry of Defence and Arthur Andersen. His areas of professional interests include network intrusion detection, IPSec VPNs and PKI technology. Shyue Hong received a B.S degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, USA.
       
 

Rajesh Sreenivasan
Secretary

  Rajesh Sreenivasan graduated from University of Wales in 1992 where he obtained an honours degree in Law. He is presently a Partner in the Technology Practice Group of Messrs. Rajah & Tann, a member firm of the Andersen Worldwide network of international law firms. He has been practicing Information Technology Law for over four years and has provided extensive advice to clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and industries on issues pertaining to Electronic Commerce, Internet Law and Regulation, Telecommunications Law and legal issues pertaining to IT litigation. Rajesh has lectured and conducted seminars and talks extensively on e-commerce and New Economy related issues. He is listed in The World's Leading Information Technology Advisers, a Euromoney publication and he has recently been identified as a leading practitioner in IT law by the International Financial Law Review IT and Telecoms Survey.
       
 

Lai Seow Yong
Treasurer

  Seow Yong has been in the security field for 3 years and have been doing research and development work on various area of network and system security in his previous job in DSO National Laboratories. He has studied extensively several classes of vulnerabilities in the Windows and Unix platforms and has developed tools to detect and thus protect against these weaknesses. In addition, he also has keen interests in two areas of computer forensic, network analysis and file system forensic. The SANS GIAC community provides a good source of analyzing and interpreting real-life network traffic, he has participated regularly in the activities of this group. In file system forensic, he has started work to analyze and understand the characteristic of various Unix file system, aim is to develop tools to recover important activity traces for post-incident forensic. He currently runs his own company concentrating on E-commerce and security solutions for financial instuitions.
       
 

Ng Lup Houh
Committee Member

  Ng Lup Houh is Chief Security Officer and Head, Managed Security Services for TriSecurity Pte Ltd. Prior to joining TriSecurity, he has been a security consultant with National Computer Systems Pte Ltd, and has six years experience in security design, implementation, operations, administration, management, review and assessment. Lup Houh has spoken and conducted workshops at various regional information security conferences, and has conducted short courses on Internet security for the National University of Singapore. He was awarded the NCB Overseas Scholarship and the Prime Minister's Book Prize in 1988, and earned his MSc and BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Lup Houh is a Certified Information systems Auditor (CISA) and is the first Check Point Certified Security Instructor (CCSI) in Singapore.
       
 

Leong Hean Keong
Committee Member

  Leong Hean Keong is a senior consultant with Aegiz Cybersecurity Consulting. He has been involved in the field of computer security for more than 6 years. Before working in Aegiz, he was a Senior Member of Technical Staff with DSO National Laboratories, leading several research and operational projects and holding the appointment of Principal Investigator of a major research program. His core expertise is in security review, vulnerabilities assessment, Trojans and viruses, and penetration testing. He was also involved in developing and training the staff under his research program. Hean Keong graduated from the National University of Singapore with an Honours degree in Computer Science.
